Meniscus Surgery
Arthroscopic treatment and repair
What Is Arthroscopic Meniscus Surgery?
Arthroscopic meniscus surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that allows for the diagnosis and treatment of meniscal injuries using small incisions and a high-definition camera. Depending on the type and location of the tear, the meniscus can either be repaired or only the damaged portion removed, preserving as much healthy tissue as possible.
The aim of the procedure is to relieve pain, restore knee stability, and allow a safe and timely return to daily activities and sports when appropriate.
Indications
Meniscal Tear
Traumatic or degenerative meniscus rupture
Mechanical Locking
Restriction of knee movement due to displaced meniscal tissue
Joint Effusion
Chronic swelling of the knee joint
